UKCAT (Humanitas University)
UKCAT (Humanitas University) candidates should note that some information found on this website relating to the standard UKCAT or UKCATSEN will not be of relevance to them.
The UKCAT (Humanitas University) is a computer-based test which helps with the selection of applicants that have the most appropriate mental abilities, attitudes and professional behaviour required to be successful in their clinical careers.
Candidates will either sit the UKCAT (Humanitas University) or the UKCATSEN (Humanitas University), which is intended for candidates with Special Educational Needs. Further details can be found below.
The UKCAT (Humanitas University) assesses a range of mental abilities identified by university medical schools as important. There is no curriculum content as the test examines innate skills. Each subtest is in a multiple-choice format and is separately timed. For candidates sitting the test in April 2017, it will consist of Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning and a Situational Judgement Test. They will also sit Decision Making but will not receive a score for this subtest. Further details about how the test is marked can be found here.
