Pearson VUE test centre Questions
What is the UKCAT test centre like?
If you decide to sit UKCAT in the UK, there is probably a UKCAT test centre on your local High Street. They are also used for other tests operated by Pearson
VUE, e.g. the Driving Theory Test. Pearson VUE may deliver other testing sessions such as the Driving Theory Test at the same time as UKCAT testing sessions.
Every reasonable effort is made to minimise noise and other distractions in the testing room. However, please note that UKCAT candidates and other test takers
will start and finish their exams at different times and will therefore enter and leave the testing room as needed.

Why can I not sit the test at my school or college?
We are committed to providing a standard testing environment for all of our candidates worldwide. We also need a dedicated computer network to make on-screen
testing possible.
On-screen testing ensures quick and reliable global distribution of our questions, your answers, and your UKCAT result. It also eliminates any scope for error
in the scoring of the tests

What if I am delayed or lost en route?
If you arrive late for an exam, you may be refused admission. Late admission is at the discretion of the Test Centre staff. If you are refused admission by the
test centre staff due to late arrival, you be recorded as a 'no-show' and will forfeit the exam appointment and delivery fees. If you are a 'no-show', you will need
to book another test and pay again.
Before you set off for your test, make a note of the centre's address and find it on the map.

What if I miss my test because of flu, a flat tyre, etc?
We allow you to reschedule your test appointment at no extra charge one clear working day before your existing appointment. A clear
day does not include the day of the reschedule or the day of the test, for example for a test on a Friday, the last day to make any changes would be the
preceding Wednesday.
If you have to miss your test for any reason, and you have not rescheduled in time, you will have to book another test at your own expense.
This applies in cases of illness, family emergency, accident, arrest, transport problems and security alert as well as forgetfulness. It also applies to those
who arrive at the test centre late and those who arrive with inadequate or invalid identification.

What if I need to take medication during the test?
Bring your medication to the test centre and mention it to the Test Centre Manager when you check in. By raising your hand during the test, you will enable the invigilator to assist you in leaving the testing room to access your locker and take your medication.
If the procedure is likely to be complicated or time-consuming, you should treat this as a special arrangement examination and register for the test using the special procedure outlined above.

If I have questions or requests connected with the UKCAT, should I contact the test centre?
No. Test centre staff have no discretion to waive any UKCAT rules or policies. They cannot make changes to your UKCAT registration file and they cannot
give any UKCAT advice.
They cannot meet any requests for modifications to the onscreen test or the testing environment except those that were agreed at the time of registration.
