Practice Test
To help you prepare for the UKCAT, Practice Tests (1 & 2) are available in the following formats:
- UKCAT Standard Timing
- UKCATSEN (Extended Timing)
- UKCAT Untimed
Practice Test 3 is an additional UKCAT Short Version (3).
These practice tests are available with the following timings:

Practice questions for the first four sections of the test are provided. A sample of non-cognitive questions (section 5), is provided below in a PDF document.
Please read through the following steps carefully before downloading the tests.
Step 1: Download the Practice Test
The practice tests are for use on PC based systems only and will not run on MAC based computers. When you download the practice test you should install it to your own computer and then run the test as you would run any other programme. Please be advised that broadband is preferable. Download speeds will be dependent on the speed of your internet connection and internet traffic.
For Vista and Windows 7 users the programme requires to be run by a user with full system administrator rights, therefore UAC settings need to be configured to reflect this. Additionally it is advisable to run the programme in Windows XP compatibility mode. If you need advice please contact Customer Services.

Step 2: Download the answer keys
When you have chosen the practice test you are going to take please download the relevant answer keys so that you can easily interpret the answers you have given. You may want to print the answer keys out or have them available on your PC for when you are ready to review your results.
The answer keys are PDF downloads. To read and print .pdf downloads below you will need the free Reader programme from Adobe.

Step 3: Take the Practice Test
The practice tests will not generate a UKCAT result. At the end of the Practice Test, the final answer review screen will show your correct and incorrect answers. This screen will allow you to link back to questions to see what answers you have given. The correct answer will be indicated by a blue square. You can then check your answers against the answer keys you have downloaded. There is no answer key available for the non-cognitive test (section 5).
Please note that when you take the live test your correct and incorrect answers will not be reported.
