Registration
There is no single date for sitting the exam, but candidates wishing to apply in 2010 for entry to the participating universities in 2011 or deferred entry in 2012, are required to take the UKCAT before the 8 October 2010 deadline.
You are strongly recommended to register and sit the UKCAT at your earliest convenience to ensure that places are available at your chosen test centre. Candidates sitting UKCAT in the UK and Republic of Ireland please note that if you do not book early, you may be required to travel more than 40 miles to sit the exam.
You register for the test by following the link on the left hand side of this page which takes you through to the Pearson Vue website. Further instructions are then provided.
Data Collection
The UKCAT Consortium seeks to minimise bias due to factors such as age, sex, nationality, ethnicity, or socio-economic background of the candidates on their performance in the test. In order to do this, we ask for information about each applicant's nationality, ethnicity, and parents' occupation. By parent(s) or carer(s), we mean the people who have most fulfilled the role of parents in the household in which you grew up, who may or may not be your biological parents.
Please print and answer the attached questionnaire with the assistance of your parent(s) or carer(s). Once you have noted your responses, please use the questionnaire to answer the questions during registration to create a profile.
