UKCAT registration opens at 9am on 2 May and closes on 19 September 2017 at 5pm.
Booking closes at midday on 2 October 2017.
UKCAT testing takes place between 3 July and 3 October 2017.
Candidates are strongly recommended to register and book their test at their earliest convenience to ensure places are available at a local centre. Each year there are candidates who book a late test and encounter problems when they fall ill or experience other issues preventing them from taking that testing slot. This can be avoided by booking to take the test early. We advise that candidates read the section on Test Day Problems carefully.
Our tests are delivered by Pearson VUE on computer through their worldwide test centre network. All candidates complete a two-step process using the Pearson VUE online registration system.
Step 1: Online Account Registration
All candidates must create an online account with Pearson VUE before they can book their test. Candidates need to register for their test personally – this cannot be done by a school/college.
They will need to provide the information requested in this questionnaire which also explains why the data is collected. They may need to ask their parent(s)/carer(s) for assistance in answering the questions.
When the registration process is complete candidates will be sent an email containing a password which will allow them to book their test. Candidates can log-in to their Pearson VUE account using the link at the top of this page.
Step 2: Booking a Test
All candidates should book a standard test unless they are eligible for extra time in public exams. Please see the section on Access Arrangements for more information. It is the candidate's responsibility to book the correct test.
If a convenient test location and date cannot be found please contact Pearson VUE Customer Services who may be able to assist. Please note that availability of convenient dates and times may be limited in the last weeks of testing. The UKCAT booking system may only allow some test slots to be allocated 90 days in advance.
